Step by step
- Sign in to your UKVI account.
- Update what has changed: passport or travel document, name, mobile number, email, home or postal address.
- Check your eVisa afterwards to make sure the details are right.
- Before travelling, make sure the passport in your account is the one you will travel with and matches what you give your airline.
What you need
- Your current sign-in details and access to your phone or email.
- Your new passport or travel document, if you are adding one.
Common mistakes
- Travelling with a new passport that is not in your account: your airline may not let you board.
- Trying to change your name or passport while waiting for a visa decision: that is not possible until the decision is made.
